Used Blowers

Used BlowersBlowers are designed to move air, gases, or dry power products. Blowers are similar to compressors but instead of compressing the air or gas, blowers typically operate at less than 20 PSI, or 1 bar.

Main Types of Blowers

The main types of blower include; centrifugal, exhaust fans, and rotary blowers. Blowers are often rated according to the flow - Cubic Feet per Minute (CFM).

  • Centrifugal blowers are best for high volume and high pressure applications. Centrifugal blowers operate at speeds of 3,500 RPM or higher.
  • Exhaust fans are blowers designed to move air. The fan blades can be straight, forward-curved or backward curved depending on the type of application.
  • Rotary blowers are positive displacement type blowers. Many times pneumatic conveying systems that move dry powders are powered by rotary blowers.
