Duties incl performing Industry research to identify potential opportunities including taking surveys & collecting data on customer requirements & preferences & analyzing customer trends; conducting market research/surveys w/ potential customers to obtain info on customer's sales strategies, operational & production needs, goals & objectives; must be able to do phone sales, as well as face to face sales & have the talent to get past gatekeepers; collaborating w/ sales teams to understand customer requirements, to promote the sale of company products, & to provide sales support; understanding & preparation of supporting technical engineering documentation from the process industries; preparing reports based on results of research & surveys performed; communicating w/ key decision makers of potential customers, including plant operational personnel, engineers, senior management personnel & other professionals, as well as C suite level people in Fortune 500 companies; researching trade publications in conjunction w/ performance of industry research; facilitating & assisting in customer negotiations related to proposed acquisitions; attending sales meetings, trade conferences & seminars related to the chemical & petrochemical industries; conferring w/ customers & engineers to assess equipment needs, determine system requirements; & preparation & deliverance of technical presentations that explain products or services to customers & prospective customers. Requirement of min. of a Bachelor's Degree in chemical engineering.
