IPP Equipment Search Image 705865PLANTNITROGEN 200 Nm3/hr Nitrogen plant, capacity based on dry gas @ 15 deg C and atmosheric pressure, discharge pressure 12 barg (eff), dewpoint -50 deg C after expansion to atmosherical pressure, steam capacity 640 kg/hr based on a boiler supply water temp of 100 deg C, discharge pressure 12 barg (nitrogen), 14 barg (steam), temperature approx 12 deg C (nitrogen) above water inlet temperature, approx 190 deg C (steam), Supply data: 44 cu.m/hr of natural gas, inlet pressure 120 mbar @ ambient, approx 380 cu.m/hr ambient air, 10 cu.m/hr of cooling water, 640 kg/hr of boiler water supply, Main items include; 1 x 1000 kg/hr Danstoker boiler, gas fired, type DHA, serial # 108109, 657 kw, 2400 ltr, 16.3 bar, ultramizing combustion burner, type GST200-12FGCS, serial # 088054, 2 x 390 ltr, c/steel recievers, manufactured by Flensburg, type Sabair 400-KS, max pressure 16 bar @ 60 deg C, serial # 6836 and # 6837, 400mm diameter x 3.1m straight side, mounted on c/steel frame with filters and valves, 1 x c/steel reciever, manufactured by Kemp Pijnacker R.V, model AFBL-24, 600mm x 2.4m straight side, design pressure 0.0 bar @ 50 deg C, 1 x hot water tank. General working principle: inert gas is produced by Stoichiometric combustion of fuel gas with air, the fuel is a hydrocarbon and the air a mixture of mainly 79% nitrogen and 21% of oxygen, the combustion is a chemical reaction between the hydrocarbon and oxygen, giving mainly nitrogen, carbon-dioxide and water, some little rest quantities of oxygen, carbon-monoxide and hydrogen also remain, the notrogen leaves the generator unchanged, the water is drained for the main part by condensation, so the inert gas produced mainly consists of 85% nitrogen and 15% carbon-dioxide, in the combustion chamber the combustion gases dissipate their heat to the chamber walls, the chamber walls radiate and conduct their heat to the generator body which contains a water jacket, the main cooling of the gases occurs thereafter in the main cooler where the gas is indirectly cooled by cooling water, as the combustion air is supplied by a fan it will cause a slight overpressure before the compressor, in the main cooler the gas temperature drops to a few degrees above the cooling water inlet temp, the condensate is separated in the cooler and in the knock-out drum, the required end pressure of the plant is achieved by a piston compressor, situated downstream the combustion chamber, after compression, the gas is cooled by an after-cooler, the bulk of water present in the gas is now condensated and drained, final drying takes place in a desiccant dryer by absorption and at the same time the carbon dioxide is removed from the inert gas so pure nitrogen is obtained, the dryer is of the two-chamber system and is regenerated in a heatless way.
