This methanol plant has a proven daily capacity of 1,700 tons.  The plant was fully refurbished in 1995 and is well maintained.  Currently, the plant is on a 5-year turnaround schedule for safety valve testing, pressure vessel inspection, tubine overhauls, and catalyst changes.  The existing catalyst charges in both the reformer and methanol reactors come with the plant.  P & ID's available upon request.

Natural gas flows through the main compressor into pre-heaters then into the Desulferization vessel.  From Desulferization the gas flows through a Chloride Trap before entering the Satuator. 

From the Satuator, steam is added and the stream flows into the Reformer.  From the Reformer the product stream flows through compressors driven by extraction turbines before entering the Synthesis Loop Reactor.

Final stages of refining, the product stream flows though a topping column and then into a refining column before entering bulk finished product storage.

Some mehanol is looped back into the reformer to be used as fuel, and hydrogen is extracted during the process flow to be used in other processes.
