Process Description:
- Gas Generation Plant (GGP) which reforms natural gas and steam into carbon monoxide and hydrogen, the reducing gas required by the HBI process - Reactor Plant which consists of four trains of a series of four reactor vessels in which the iron ore concentrate is reduced to metallic iron under temperature using reducing gas; - Briquetting Plant where the metallic iron is pressed into Boodarie Iron briquettes; - Utilities area which includes a process water recycling and treatment plant comprising of clarifiers, water storage facilities, and cooling towers.
