Products Produced:

The following products are produced from the reaction of methanol and ammonia:

  1. Monomethylamine (MMA)
  2. Dimethylamine (DMA)
  3. Trimethylamine (TMA)
Upgrades:
Major Upgrades were performed to the facility in 1990 and 2000
Brief Overview:
  • This is the largest unit in a highly integrated facility that sits on 57 acres of land, two-thirds of which are undeveloped.  The facility produces Methyl Amines for use in Higher Amines and Amine Derivatives.
  • The Methyl Amines plant has a capacity of 46,000 metric tons per year mixed amines production.

The following products are produced from the reaction of methanol and ammonia:

  1. Monomethylamine (MMA)
  2. Dimethylamine (DMA)
  3. Trimethylamine (TMA)
Process Description:

Methanol and Ammonia are delivered via pipeline from the sites Methanol Storage area and the sites ammonia plant.  Up to approximately 1,800 tons of methylamines (anydrous and aqueous) are stored at the site in 13 large above ground bulk storage tanks, situated adjacent to the palnt in the north-western area of the site.
