Methanol Synthesis Loop-500 TPD
Stock Number: 600674
Brief Overview:

Capacity: 500 TPD

Built: 1995

Shutdown: 2011

Design: Topsoe

The 550 TPD Methanol Synthesis Loop is interconnected and adapted to a 1,200 TPD ammonia production facility. The methanol loop is receiving synthesis gas required for the production of methanol from the process gas of ammonia unit.

The methanol loop while connected to the ammonia unit, operates on "Once Through" mode, of operation, otherwise receives the synthesis gas from ammonia process, convert the Hydrogen, CO and CO2 gases to methanol. The unconverted gas from Methanol Reactor goes back to Methanator of the Ammonia unit and from there the synthesis gas to be pumped to the Ammonia converter. The methanol loop in conjunction with Ammonia operation is producing 550 ton per day of Methanol.

The Crude methanol product then to be distilled and refined to produce 99.8%  Methanol Grade A product.
