  Brief Overview Stock #600500
Urea Plant Details from Complete Facility
The urea plant was in operations until 2007.

The urea plant produces 500 tons/day of urea in water solution at 70% of concentration, starting
with imported ammonia and CO2 as raw materials.
The urea produced by that plant is fed to the (2) 90 tons/day melamine lines from the complete
(30 tpd line and 60 tpd line).
Urea is used as a raw material (fed to the melamine lines) and a small quantity of ammonia is
     required.
Complete melamine and urea facility design included (2) production lines of Melamine totaling 90
     tons/day.
     First Line produces 30 tons/day.
Second Line produces 60 tons/day (difference is due to a smaller stripping column in the first
        production line).
The urea plant equipment has been continuously maintained during operations.
The urea plant was managed via DCS control system.
   Urea Technical documentation is available.
