Nylon salt solution is prepared by reaction of hexametilenediamine and adipic acid. Adipic acid is transferred from bags to a hopper and moved to a silo which discharge in a metering screw that transports the material to a reactor were is in contact with hexametilenediamine pumped from storage tanks. Reaction starts and continues in a series of reactors before to end in five final polymer solution tanks. The polymer salt is then pumped to three evaporators placed at plant 4th floor, where water content is adjusted. Salt is later transferred into stainless steel autoclave and heated using DP /DPO as heating fluid. Polycondensation is carried out inside eight autoclaves. After achieve desired melt viscosity, the melt is extruded through a die in the form of a ribbon which is cooled by cold water and finally cut into pellets. This process occurs in three casting machines. Each casting machine moves on a rail and could receive product from three autoclaves. Pellets are transport by air conveying system to storage tanks. Later are moved through filters and transport to packing stations were packed in bags.
