Incinerators

Brief Overview

Transportable Incineration System (TIS-20)

The system is designed to thermally treat solids and liquids contaminated with hazardous and/or toxic materials. The system has been used for remediation of hazardous materials at three project sites. To date, the system has successfully processed in excess of 300,000 tons of soil, sediment, wooden pipeline, and debris.

Capacity:

25 Tons/hour

Major Equipment:

- Waste Feed Handling System
- Treated Materials (Ash) Handling System
- Rotary Kiln;
- Secondary Combustion Chamber (SCC)
- Air Pollution Control Equipment
- Induced Draft Fan and Stack
- Continuous Emissions Monitoring (CEM) System
- Process Control System

Process Description

The system employs a two stage combustion process for incineration of solid wastes. The primary incineration chamber of a rotary kiln, the Secondary Combustion Chamber (SCC) is an afterburner. Flue gas exiting the afterburner is treated by the air pollution control system that removes particulate and condensable metals from the exhaust gas. The treated flue gas is discharged to the atmosphere in full compliance with risk-based criteria.
