Process Description

Total thermic recycling
The urea is produced by the reaction of ammonia with carbon dioxide under a pressure of 232 bars. The intermediate ammonium carbonate is formed after an exothermic reaction at 138°C. The compression of carbon dioxide is obtained by four stages. INGERSOLL-RAND compressor powered by 1MW synchronous motor with 6.000 volts supply voltage

The Urea slurry is pumped into a rotating plates granulator. Granules are polished and cooled by air. The granulated urea is screened, then coated and transported to the warehouse.
